The Chicken House: Authentic Peruvian Cuisine in Newark, DE

I recently had the pleasure of stopping at this amazing Peruvian restaurant, and it exceeded all my expectations! The chicken dishes had delicious flavor, and the portions were more than generous. The Aji sauce was simply outstanding and added the perfect kick to every bite. With such consistently fantastic food, it's impossible to go wrong with any dish on the menu. I recommend this restaurant.

We had a wonderful evening starting with Ceviche Mixto and then all found our dishes Parrillada de la Casa, Salsa Criolla, and Tallarin Verde con Bistec all very close to being in Peru. Friendly staff and a relaxing atmosphere. Would definitely return!

The rotisserie chicken is where it is at ... especially when combo'd with the plantains (perfect amount of crispiness and saltiness). Not a massive amount of room, but that leads to the feel of the restaurant. Even like that it never seems overly bright inside nor extra loud. You want fresh chicken that falls off the bone ... along with great taste. This is your place. We've been coming back here for years. Nothing quite else like it in the area.

We've been here before and past experience was better than Today. The 4 stars is a overall rating. It'll be a 3 stairs just on today. I ordered the sautéed shrimp with onion and tomato on spaghetti and I wasn't too thrilled about it. It wasn't bad but looks like the spaghetti wasn't properly drained so there's a bunch of water downed soy sauce on the bottom. My wife ordered her regular hand roastisory chicken with yellow rice which was good as usual. I remember their fried rice was much better. I will stick with that next time.

They were in Claymont many moons ago and we would eat here at least once a week. Then they closed up and went to Newark and we didn't go until today. Food was as delicious as we remembered. Service was good. They added flavour to the Pisco Sour, I got the Mango. So good. The fries are to die for here, crispy and puffy on the inside. Best fries in the area.

So good. Peruvian rotisserie chicken done to perfection. Ask for the green sauce. Fried yucca with sautéed red onions on top also fire. Can’t wait to go back and try more.

Went for lunch at this place. The name of this place we thought was just fried chicken type of foods but is actually Peruvian restaurant. The time we arrived was few mins before 3pm on Sunday and the restaurant was full so we had to wait for few mins for a table. In our experience there all was good, food and service from the waitress nothing that we can complain about. I even ordered food to take home. If we live close by definitely will be back to eat here again.

If you want to leave a restaurant satisfied, full, and wanting to come back again tomorrow, you have to come here and give it a try. We ordered a whole rotisserie chicken that comes with rice and salad. We also ordered a large size of beans. It was one of the best combinations with the softness of the chicken, perfect combo and flavor or rice and beans, and the freshness of the salad. They also give you two types of sauces. The sauce was so good as well!! It was excellent food and it's a cherry on top with excellent service!! We will definitely be back again!!
